Latches and Flip Flops
The main difference between latch and flip flop is that a latch is level-operated. This means that it reacts immediately to input changes and the output can be changed accordingly.
In contrast, the flip-flop has a further control input (clock input), which is usually edge-triggered. This means that the flip-flop scans the input but only changes the output when a clock signal is detected.
